My Journey

Hi, I’m Rhona - an award-nominated wedding celebrant, registered solemniser and bilingual ceremony specialist based in Ireland. For over 30 years, I’ve worked within the wedding industry, originally as a professional makeup artist, helping thousands of brides feel relaxed, confident and cared for on one of the biggest days of their lives. Working so closely with couples over the years gave me something incredibly valuable - a deep understanding of weddings beyond just the ceremony itself. I understand the emotions, excitement, nerves, family dynamics and sometimes the overwhelm that can come with planning such an important day. For the past 8 years, I’ve specialised in creating relaxed, meaningful and completely personal wedding ceremonies for couples across Ireland. My ceremonies are never stiff or overly formal. I believe your ceremony should feel natural, emotional, warm and genuinely reflective of who you are as a couple.

As a fluent Spanish speaker, I also specialise in bilingual wedding ceremonies, helping couples beautifully blend languages, cultures and traditions throughout their day. Whether you would like a fully bilingual English and Spanish ceremony, multilingual readings, bilingual vows or ways to include family members from different backgrounds, I’ll help create a ceremony where everyone feels connected, included and part of the celebration..

Inclusive and Family Focused Ceremonies

Alongside weddings, I’m also the creator of VSP Celebrations - inclusive ceremonies designed for families who may need a calmer, more flexible and understanding approach. As a mum to three wonderful children with additional needs, including autism and Down syndrome, inclusivity is something deeply personal to me. I understand that not every family experiences weddings and celebrations in the same way, and I bring patience, flexibility and compassion into every ceremony I create. Whether that means adapting the pacing of the ceremony, incorporating sensory-friendly elements, helping nervous children feel more comfortable or simply creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere, my goal is always the same - to ensure every person feels welcome, included and celebrated..

A Calm and Supportive Approach

Outside of weddings, I’m also the founder of Focus by Rhona X, a wellness brand created through my own personal journey supporting neurodivergent family life. Supporting families, understanding overwhelm and creating calm environments has become a huge part of both my personal and professional life, and it’s something I naturally bring into the ceremonies I create. I understand that weddings can sometimes feel emotional and overwhelming not only for couples, but also for parents, children and guests. My approach is always centred around creating a relaxed, supportive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved..
